I liked these object sketches because they involve various objects. I like the 4th one because it uses negative space. I like the 3rd one because it uses points to make an outline.

Favorite art journals
These are my favorite art journals because they are the most colorfuls. I added a mix of a bunch of colors for the second one. For the first one, I used blue and yellow to represent happiness.

Who am I?
I made this artwork to symbolize who I am and where I come from. My family is from Hispaniola. Hispaniola is composed of the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Haitian culture is full of lively art and music. It is a blend of French culture also. I made the project just to show where I come from. It has the three flags. I was born in the USA. My parents are from Haiti. Some of my aunts and uncles are from the Dominican Republic. I first drew three object sketches because I basically already knew what I was gonna do and didn't have other ideas. I first painted a hill. I painted the flags, and then I painted a background of typical Caribbean weather. Caribbean weather is mostly sunny. It also has a large population of birds. Palm trees are also common. This artwork symbolizes my background. I used invented texture, Tone value was used. The primary color palette was used.

Art Critique
My art critique is on Camron Rockwell's recreation of Starry Night. He is only halfway done. The thing that stands out to me the most is the sun. It sticks out because of its bright yellow color. The blue sky leads my eye from place to place. I think that this artwork might represent weary or loneliness. If I could name the artwork, I would name it Dark Fumes. Colors were used to show off different parts of the artwork. The bright colors signify happiness, while the dark colors signify mystery. I think he chose this artwork because it is a well-known artwork and it is a masterpiece. I think it is a terrific recreation and will be very good when/if he finishes.

Color Project Artist Statement
Le Premier Disque by Robert Delaunay
I chose to recreate Le Premier Disque by Robert Delauney. The artwork is a prime example of abstract work. He used different colors to create a darker color theme. Robert Delaunay is a French artist. He is known for using strong colors wanted to create this project because it seemed simple.
When I started the project, I wanted to use a lot of different colors from the original art piece. The idea is that a person is lost/confused in a world of color all around him. I've also seen some other artworks of Delaunay's and thought it would be fun to recreate one of his. I also wanted to do it because it is simple. It took me faster than expected to finish it.
I started off with 6 project sketches. I mixed in different ideas from the project sketches and came up with the painting inside of my head. I used a canvas and started drawing the circle using a pencil. I also used acrylic to paint the circle and the background. I finished it off with 2 areas for each color on the background.
1. I chose to recreate this artwork because it is simple and fun to create. I wanted to symbolize being lost in a world of color.
2. Confusion, happiness, and chaos. I changed the colors because I felt like the original ones were too boring.
3. Complimentary
4. Materials and style. I changed these because the original was too boring and dreary. I wanted to add more life and joy to the artwork.

Same Object Sketch #5
For today's object sketch, I wanted to improve my shading. I also added a leaf. The darker shading is leaning more towards the left, then it gradually turns lighter towards the right. Enjoy!
Masking Tape Project
I wanted to make this project to show education through Christ. I
specifically came up with idea, because we are in AAA. This is a Christ
centered school that was established to help us learn. My classmates
helped me come up with the different ideas for the project. We ultimately
decided to use school tools. Cross-contour was used in the eraser to
make it looks more curved. Location was used to show a cross with the
tools.
As a group we wanted to do a project that was simple but gave off a
message. We decided to do a mural that represented the school. We all
brainstormed on ideas on what to do. We decided to a mural that
represents learning with religion. We worked on it and completed the
project.
